Regain Control, Heal Your Past, and Build the Life You Deserve

: Compassionate therapy for teens, young adults, and women who feel overwhelmed by overthinking, worry, or childhood trauma and want to feel more grounded and connnected to themselves.

You’re here because something’s not working and you’re ready for change

If you’ve been doing your best to hold it together but still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in your head, you’re not alone. Many people I work with feel this way long before they reach out for support.

Slowing down your thoughts can feel impossible. Decisions may spiral into overthinking, and relationships can feel confusing or draining. There may be a part of you that’s always scanning for what could go wrong, carrying constant pressure, second-guessing yourself, and never fully resting.

You may notice patterns that don’t always make sense on the surface: pulling away from people you care about, struggling to set or maintain boundaries, or feeling like your emotions shift quickly and unpredictably. You might be living with the after-effects of painful experiences, times when you didn’t feel safe, seen, or supported—and those experiences still show up in the present, whether subtly or all at once.

At times, trusting yourself can feel hard.
You may wonder if you’re too much, not enough, or unsure who you really are beneath all the coping. An inner critic may keep you small, while other parts of you push people away—even when what you want most is connection. If any of this resonates, therapy can help.
I work with teens, young adults, and women navigating anxiety, trauma, and patterns related to borderline personality disorder and complex PTSD.

I also support people who feel down, stuck, or overwhelmed by perfectionism and self-criticism—or who sense that something isn’t quite right but can’t yet put it into words.

I believe we are much more than a diagnosis. Rather than labeling you, I focus on understanding your symptoms as parts of you—approaching your experience with warmth, collaboration, and curiosity. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, meaning we look gently at what you’ve been through and how those experiences continue to shape your inner world.

Alongside this deeper understanding, I also teach practical skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support grounding, emotional regulation, and coping in everyday life. Together, we’ll work to help you feel more like yourself—or begin discovering who you truly are beneath the patterns that no longer serve you.

Helping You Navigate the Hard Stuff — Together

If any of this resonates, therapy can help. I work with teens, young adults, and women navigating anxiety, trauma, and patterns related to borderline personality disorder  and complex PTSD. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, and trauma-informed care, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening inside and find a path that feels more grounded, more clear, and more like you.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Let’s start with a free 15-minute consultation.

My Specialties

Anxiety

Anxiety can make even the smallest decisions feel overwhelming, and the things you used to enjoy feel like too much.

Trauma + C-PTSD

Trauma doesn’t always look like one big event. Sometimes, it’s a collection of moments where you felt unsafe, unseen, or not enough.

BPD

Maybe your emotions hit like waves — intense, unpredictable, and hard to control. One moment you're fine, the next you're overwhelmed.

Hi, I’m Laura Picard.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA #135100) who believes in the power of connection, compassion, and growth.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t linear, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, graduating with honors. Before that, I called Boston home, studying at Suffolk University while working as a nanny to put myself through school. Those early experiences shaped my resilience, empathy, and belief in showing up, even when life feels hard.
